Are Labour Unlucky (or are they just rubbish)?
Systemic Blindness: Why Labour's Failure Is a Symptom of Elite Economic Misdiagnosis
Understand why the current UK government is collapsing in popularity and how this systemic economic blindness creates vast opportunities for genuinely new political ideas to win.
Short Summary
- Evaluate the claim that the Labour government is merely "unlucky" due to inherited issues.
- Identify the failure to address wealth distribution as the root cause of economic malaise across Western political parties.
- Recognize the collapse of established intellectual authority as a catalyst for massive political opportunity.
- Grasp the urgent need for policy focused on reclaiming wealth lost from government and ordinary people.
This analysis argues that Labour's rapid unpopularity is not bad luck but a predictable outcome of systemic failure by the entire Western intellectual class to recognize or address rapidly increasing wealth inequality since 2020. Understanding this fundamental misdiagnosis—comparing it to ignoring cancer—is critical for steering political outcomes away from far-right extremism.

I still find it weird you call it a mistake, like they accidentally forgot to tax the people that fund them
When u realise all of these parties are not making mistakes... ITS BY DESIGN These governments dont work for us, they work for the ruling class.
I don’t think it’s an intellectual blind spot for Labour. In 2017 & 2019 wealth taxes and inequality were at the core of their manifestos. Starmer even said those ideas were ‘foundational’ to his leadership. They know this is popular and necessary. But Labour Together, Starmer’s faction, deliberately purged left wing pledges and people - while moving away from trade union funding to over 50% of party income from big business & wealthy individuals. They made conscious, ideologically driven choices to join the Tory side of the class war. Not bad luck or uselessness - active elitism.
It is good to see someone not blaming the fall in living standards on immigrants and people with disabilities.
We need to stop lobbying...... Wealthy corporations and individuals determine what policies will be behind closed doors. Its disgusting.
They are not failing. They are obeying their backers.
Week on week, thank you for your perseverance and dedication, Gary. Let’s keep the momentum going
If everybody is doing the same thing it’s not a mistake, it’s orchestrated
I get the feeling everyone in government knows full well what they are doing and that they either don't care or worse are doing it on purpose to make their own wealth greater at the expense of the general public
Good luck Gary. I support you 100%. There are people with limitless amounts of money that will try and stop you from succeeding, but we need to stand together.
