Short Summary
- Two out of four vintage recipes—Ham and Banana Hollands and Creamy Dried Beef Mold—earned the "Out of Sight" rating.
- The tasting session aggressively explores the 1970s trend of incorporating gelatin into savory dishes like tomato refreshers and pizzas.
- Readers gain insight into 1970s social norms from Link's father, Charles, who shares anecdotes about his early fatherhood and local customs.
- This revisited episode allows the hosts to re-score historical food experiments based on present-day palates.
The episode revisits a journey back to the 1970s to sample four recipes pulled directly from vintage cookbooks. Link's father, Charles, joins the panel to provide context and share unique facts about the decade he raised his family in. Evaluate whether the culinary trends of the era deserve a comeback or should remain lost to time.

I watched this in 480p just for some extra immersion
I loved that episode. Especially the chemistry between Emily and Link's Dad
This really is an all timer episode because of link’s dad. What an absolute legend
Todays "episode" or rerun if you will, feels like the equivalent of a teacher putting a movie on for the class because they're too hung over to teach.
I wouldn't mind more of episodes in this series. There are plenty of decades yet to explore.
so weird to think what this show would be like if it was made in the 70s
Emily is so great. She always cracks me up.
Emily is so rocking the Farrah Fawcett hair...and her clothes are ready for disco nights. The only food I remember eating is the dried beef that came in a glass jar. It was good, but had enough sodium to cause your heart to flutter.
I love Rhett’s laugh lol it’s so genuine. Link then laughs at Rhett laughing. Amazing duo.
DAAAAMMMNNNN... Emily is looking good today!
