We start off with Paul Atreides and Chani sat on a Dune...which...I promise is the best easter egg you're gonna get. Starting off strong, no this is an effectionate moment between the pair in which he explains his home on Caladan and how it differs from life on Arrakis. Incase you need a quick catch up the events of the past movie then in that we joined the Atreides on Caladan which was made up of Paul, his father the Duke and his Mother/father's concubine Lady Jessica. Emperor Shaddam the fourth viewed the Atredies as being a threat to his rule and thus he gave them power over the desolate planet of Arrakis as a way to knock them down the ladder a couple of notches. Taking it from the evil Harkonnens they then launched an attack to wipe out the Duke and his forces which killed him and left Paul and Jessica as outcasts. Jessica's also part of a group known as the Bene Gesserit who are a covenant of Jedi like Nuns that have their hands in both politics and religion. Over millenia they've injested spice to embue them with psychic like abilities and this gives them powers to the point that they're even allowed to control the gender of their child before it's born. Jessica was instructed to have a daughter but due to her love to the Duke she went against this and instead gave him the son he'd always wanted.
