It's me MT and welcome back to the heavy spoiler show y'all! This is going to be a breakdown of the new trailer for James Gunn's upcoming Superman movie…a movie that I have been so excited for because my boy James Gunn can truly do no wrong. Dude is batting 100 when it comes to superhero films which likely means that we are looking at an incredible start to this new burgeoning cinematic Universe! So let's just go ahead and jump into it! The trailer starts with the image of a building collapsing on top of another building causing a domino effect that threatens to crush the citizens of Metropolis. As those people run away from harm, we can see that the costume design for the film has purposely given all of these citizens combinations of blue and yellow to wear…with this entire frame having a very blue and yellow feel to it…specifically to reflect the Blue and Yellow color scheme of Metropolis’ official emblem. Even the woman in the car watching Superman hold up the building can be seen wearing a blue and yellow top… and the interior of the Daily Planet office that we see around the 1 minute 26 sec mark has a specific blue and gold theme as well.
