The dodecahedron doodad is used for knitting.
I saw somewhere someone using those dodecahedrons for knitting. Maybe fish nets.
The last tool was apparently used to make gloves, each side has a hole to size each finger of the glove, depending on the customer hand size.
Some types of stones have that sound, even before you carve them. I don't know why, but I've found many of them myself in a certain place. I'm not sure about what happens once you carve them, but probably you can tune the sound by removing more or less material.
It is just a folly. They made them to be fun and mysterious
