I knew Jason, his father owned a mattress store near us, and Jason's artwork was hanging on the wall. I was always fascinated by it.

If only the aliens would remind people how to tell stories using past tense. You know, like since the story is IN THE PAST.

When my grandmother died - who I lived with and was close to - I wanted to say a eulogy but was grieving so badly I knew there was prob no way…One morning a couple days later I was slowly waking and had a dream state as I was waking up - I saw the eulogy come to me sentence by sentence, thought by thought - including even a specific joke about her keeping brown sugar too long that everyone loved. It was the craziest experience. I also had the thought repeatedly that I had to write it down. I sat up enough to type it into my notes app and it was the perfect eulogy for her - she was a nurse and Im a nurse and the theme was that she lived for ethical delimmas …opportunities to help others…and that we should all use her as an example. Mindblowing. I read it at the funeral and everyone loved it.
