9/11...the biggest elephant in the room. Thank you, Ian.

I was sitting in my parents living room watching TV when the reports came through. My whole family was military in some way. My Dad was a retired air force major and probably the smartest person I've ever met. You wouldn't know it because he was socially awkward and barely spoke. He was also a 30 year fire fighting volunteer and wrote manuals for the state. I was describing what was going on as he was in the kitchen with my mom. He had come in about ten minutes before the first tower fell. We had started talking about my two cousins who might be called up and then the first tower collapsed. The first thing he said was "Somethings wrong, that building should not have fallen, given where the plane crashed, it wouldn't collapse like that." Then thirty minutes later, the other tower fell. Same way. My dad then said "Those were controlled demolitions, get ready to be lied to." He then described to me what it would take to do that, the prep work, engineering the fall, how far in advance it would take. Slowly the narrative started to take effect and my Dad grew increasingly upset. It's all a lie he said. He never wanted to believe his government would do such a thing. I'm so glad we are talking about this again. It changed everything.

I used to work at a convenience store in a predominantly Orthodox Jewish neighborhood. I remember on the day of, the kids didn't go to school. When the owner of the store asked them why didn't they go to school, they said because their parents told them not to go because something was going to happen. The dots ALWAYS connect.
