I was fired for not going to bible meetings at a Houston architect firm. I sued them for discrimination and for firing me. I never had a bad report in my file & the wonderful yearly letters, raving about my work and perfect attendance. Won this case for me. Save everything!

The fact that robbing a bank will get a man more punitive consequences than SA and assault on minors is sickening. This is a capitalist patriarchy problem that we see most exacerbated in religious communities.

AI is a totalitarian’s* wet dream. “Reject the evidence of your eyes and ears.” Confusion is one of the most powerful tools of abusive people

I was a young mother in Tennessee and decided to join PTA. We met in the publicly-funded school lunchroom. They started every meeting with prayer. When I objected saying that I believe in separation of church and state, I was told that I was welcome to leave during prayers. This was in 2002. Some of us tried to stop this, but we were outnumbered in the Bible belt.

Who would've thought that having 20 children would end up giving them severe behavioral and mental issues. I am SHOCKED🤣

Also, Jennifer, you are 100% correct about the lie that is perpetuated about the Puritans escaping England due to religious persecution. That is absolute horseshit. Within the British Empire people were free to worship as they pleased. And it is the Puritans who disagreed with that notion and that liberty, so they fucked off to America so that they could do the persecuting, in that they insisted that their way was the only way. And it is still to this day a lie that is told and taught in schools all across the USA, that people take it as a given truth.
