Thanks, Ivor, for this informative video. I'm so glad I persuaded my Mom to stop taking Statins years ago when I first identified the risks of this drug. What a massive con by the pharmaceutical industry. Oh and Aseem Malhotra has done some great work on Statins. Thank God for such principled people.
I was prescribed statins (80mg) alongside blood thinners following a stroke at 45 (PFO clot cause). I was told they would give me a 'best chance' at avoiding another incident. For twelves months I believed the way I was feeling (physically weak, brain fog, recurring red rash, digestive issues) were associated with stroke recovery. I chose to stop using them after some research, the change I experienced felt to me overnight. I had a PFO closure in June of this year, I took the chance to ask the cardiologist if statins would be beneficial in reducing the chance of blood clotting in my case? he simply said 'no they wouldn't'. Thank you for these insights Ivor they are more beneficially than you might anticipate.
I found you a few years ago, I've been watching you ever since. Love your content. It's very informative insightful. Thank you for what you do from Florida!
If anyone asks me about statins I send them straight to you. This video will be a perfect watch for the uniformed. Thank you!

I had a stent fitted 10 years ago. I was 52 . They put me on statins straight away? Cholesterol levels dropped a bit, but developed cramps, itching, fatigue, joint pain. Weaned myself off them gradually and changed my diet. Don't take them anymore. Cholesterol levels are lower now than 10 years ago, and I have non of the side effects?
I can't thank you enough. I have high "bad" cholesterol. They did a heart catheter procedure and they told me my arteries are spectacular. I started questioning what is really going on. Now you mentioned statins they put me on a small dose. My memory has all but disappeared. I'm done with that garbage
8:21 'statins (would) had to give you an incredible benefit to take on this mess' hilarious
statins !!! we don't need no stinking statins 😂🤣😅
I mentioned this on another one of your videos but worth putting here as it's about statins. I had a few episodes over the years of very high BP and was in hospital for a couple of days for each episode. They were throwing meds at me like candy but my BP only came down a bit, maybe down to 150 from 160-165. Never mind the sugar laden puddings and sandwiches full of mayonaise they fed us, probably full of seed oils and margarine to ""bulk them out". I actually looked at one of the NHS sandwiches ingredient list and it really shocked me how much crap was in it. Then the ward doc got me on statins, I took them for maybe 2 days then could feel my legs were aching and I felt so low on energy. I told them and stopped taking them. The doc said you'll be on these for life like every other drug (that hadn't worked). Note i'd be on 3 other BP meds for a couple of years but still got hypertensive crisies. It was diet stupid! High carb/high sugar, 4 tins of coke a day, 3 or 4 bars of chocolate a day/cakes etc. All that pretty much stopped now I still eat bread like sourdough, haven't had coke in a year, and very rarely if ever eat bars of chocolate or cake. In saying all that I'm still not out of the woods yet, my triglycerides are still high and my CRP and HBA1C not as good as it could be. Anyway later on from this my GP said are you reconsidering statins, I thought well if I had, I would be back on them, but no. I said that I had had my cholestorol checked and the other doc said your C is the best reading I've ever seen in anyone - ever! So I said I don't see the point taking them. So my GP came out with the best gaslight answer I've heard yet. "Oh well for someone with ideal C does equally as well on statins as someone with high C". So what the F, that doesn't even make sense lol! 😀
