I lost everything I owned in the 2016 Louisiana flood except cloths, shoes and a computer chair. Just purchased my home on a lake and 3 months later all gone. It was depressing but as I type, God gave me all back and more. It’s stuff, not the end of your life. Makes you really put life in perspective because we aren’t here for forever and the items we hold are temporary.
It's not the entire city that's on fire, but it's a horrible site to see from South LA. Most of LA has not been affected by the fires, but rather by the horrible air quality it caused. Still, there are terrible people out there starting some of these fires, and it's frustrating.
Most of Altadena, CA a predominantly Black community with ancestral wealth and others just family homes passed down from their parents and grandparents are gone. I grew up in this city and so many of my family & friends new and old are displaced . The fire hydrant’s were empty…I feel it’s intentional. Sending continued prayers and donations to the community 🙏🏾🫶🏾
The Eaton Fire, in Altadena a historical community of Black families whose homes have been past down for generations was also devastated by these fires. Let’s not forget that.
As a Southern California resident, though this information is not completely accurate, I do appreciate y’all talking about it…

"LA is on fire." The fires literally didn't go south of the 10FW. Crazy situation that's been going down. A vast majority of LA is good. That smoke is no joke though.
“Fire particles “ - Ish
“LA is on fire.” Is a crazy exaggeration 😂
M. Ford described it better than the news!😂
