I watched this interview with Guy and felt compelled to share a story. In 2013, I was a grip on ddd, stuck in a grueling 16-hour shoot during a rainy, chaotic night. Everyone was exhausted. My dog Boomer, our closest companion, was critically ill, needing a $3,000 surgery I couldn’t afford. I was overwhelmed, getting snapped at for fumbling cables, trying to hold it together. Guy noticed me outside, clearly upset, and actually stopped to ask what was wrong. I told him about Boomer, expecting a quick nod, but he really listened. Minutes later, he came back and said he’d had his assistant wire $3,000 to my vet. He told me to take the night off and covered for me with the director. Because of him, Boomer’s surgery happened, and he’s still with me. I can attest that he is legitimately one of the best dudes in the industry. I’ll never forget his kindness. Thank you brother!
Guy Fieri raised a boat load of cash (25M) for struggling restaurants during COVID. The man is a saint.
Guy was excited to be on this podcast. Joe seemed like he just wanted to take a nap. lol props to Guy for remaining energetic and positive throughout the whole pod.
I wanna see Guy go in Theos podcast, he would get the love he deserves.
Guy- choked up emotionally talking about his dad coming back to him as an owl. "The worlds best interviewer podcaster "- "owls are dumb as shit "
Joe didn’t read the room about his dad being the owl 😭🤦🏽♂️. He was pouring his heart out and said they’re dumb. He coulda kept that to himself 😂😂
Guy is a fucking legend. You did him dirty.
Looks like we got Gluten Joe for this episode.
Really disappointing how disengaged JR was during this convo especially since you could tell Guy was pumped to be there
Felt second hand embarrassment for Guy on this one. He was playing his role in being a great guest and it seemed like Joe wasn’t having it for whatever reason.
