Keep in mind that Gabor Mate is a holocaust survivor who has been speaking against Israel crimes against innocent indigenous Palestinians for many years after his rejection of Zionism and ideology of Zionism. He is a man of integrity and honor.

Gabor is so freaking wise and gentle and humble. I just adore him. And I love his willingness to call himself out. He also brings out a very regulated, gentle energy in Joe

This man is FULLY present when responding to a question. Takes a moment to check-in, mindfully. It's beautiful.

Ignoring the crying kid was so common, when you get older and think about it and listening to this man explain it really is a horrible thing to do

100% what he says. My mom claims i was "colicky" and always needed to be held as a baby, so they remedied that by putting me in a walker or ignoring me so id cry alone. Carried into my childhood, when any display of upset or anger made me forced into a room by myself til i was "normal" The generational trauma stops with me. My daughter has my acceptance, unconditionally
