My brother played at Cincinnati from 1994–1998 and only saw action in about six games his whole career doing clean up time. His first job after college paid $90K at Kroger Corporate at 22 years old because an HR alum who went to Cincinnati hired him. That’s what college football is about connections. Only 1% go pro. 3rd and 4th string players shouldn’t be in the portal. They’re hurting their future careers and earnings, and many won’t even finish their degree or get picked up by another team.

We really need something done about the transfer portal and the poster child of why is TJ Finley. Started out at LSU, then transferred to Auburn, then to Texas State, then Western Kentucky, then Tulane, then Georgia State, and has now hit the portal again!
