I studied Pre-Columbian Art History in college. Lemme tell ya, it is WILD. I began studying before Ancient Aliens ever existed. There is an enormous amout of history we have been lied to about.

There’s a códex made by the indigenous lil bit after Cortes left Mexico and it says something about the Spaniards treating them horribly and demanded Cortes to come back. It’s a very complex relation and history between the conquistadores and indigenous people in Mexico.
Hollywood would just cast Ortiz or De Soto with a 5 ft Korean boy in the middle of transitioning to check boxes and show how inclusive they are but not cast one Spanish person
