Ukraine Will Be FORCED To Surrender
Jim Jatras on Why a Trump Peace Deal Will Fail and the Escalating Global Risks
Expect no Trump-brokered peace deal for Ukraine; the current situation is worse than publicly acknowledged, signaling dangerous escalations elsewhere, including potential conflicts with Iran.
Short Summary
- Trump’s pursuit of a peace deal appears driven by vanity and the desire for a Nobel Prize, not substantive resolution.
- The war in Ukraine faces stark endings: either a decisive Russian victory or escalation to a World War III scenario.
- US commitments lack credibility, meaning any promised neutrality settlement for Ukraine will likely be reneged upon by a future administration.
- Geopolitical maneuvers suggest the US is using the Ukraine conflict to distract Russia while pivoting energy toward Iran and China.
This discussion with veteran foreign policy analyst Jim Jatras explores why proposed peace talks orchestrated by Donald Trump are unlikely to yield a stable peace in Ukraine. Jatras outlines various potential, often dire, scenarios for the conflict's end and argues that US credibility severely undermines any potential settlement guarantees. Readers will gain insight into the underlying geopolitical maneuvers steering US strategy toward Iran and China.

All of the US media told me that Ukraine would win, and that Russia was broke and couldn't even make a washing machine - funny how the opposite was reality
We need to stop asking which countries are involved or politicians. We need to as which banks were involved.
I wish someone would discuss one of the main contributors to the war, the biolabs.
I found it a stupid reaction of Kim: "ending the war might be unfair to Ukraine". I think after three years of war and 1.7 Millions deaths + 3 or 4 or 5 times more maimed for the rest of their lives, I think the Ukraine people would be happy that this nightmare is over.
“We want to spread democracy, human rights, free markets … jumbo jumbo … none of which is true.” 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😂🎉
3:58 the question is "How long will this war last". Well first off it is an SMO "Special Military Operation" and technically it is between Russia and NATO. In theory "Russia invaded Ukraine". In reality NATO has been preparing the war against Russia for decades until Russia responded with an "SMO". In reality it is World War III. World War I lasted 4 years. World War II lasted 5 years so the Russian SMO should last until 2028. 99% of the NATO population don't even know a Russian SMO exists and what the four SMO objectives are. If 99% of the NATO population knew the four Russian SMO objectives in the first place, then the SMO would never have started and NATO would have agreed with Russia.
My neighbors here in Montana. Don't know what is going on outside their back porch. And if you try to tell them. They buck up and and tell you that they don't care about the rest of the world.. I used to think I was an isolationist. No I am not.
ロシアはオデッサの解放まで特別軍事作戦をやめないでしょう。
The key thing for Russia in having four new oblasts recognized as Russian sovereign territory by the United States and Ukraine never being recognized as a member of NATO is that it prevents aegis missiles being launched from U.S. Navy ships or Ukrainian proxies in Southern Ukraine or the Sea of Azov. RFK discussed how this was an unacceptable risk for Russia in one of his interviews a year ago or so. It’s easier for Russia to defend itself from missiles and drones only launched from western Ukraine than it is for it to defend Moscow when forces can attack it from multiple directions. The land bridge along the Black Sea coast all the way to Russian troops stationed in Moldova has been a strategic objective for Russia for at least several years now.
I think this is pretty obvious but it is nice to hear it from a professional.
