To " mislead" is to lie.
After that performance, Redfield should be back in the good graces of big pharma.
How about instead of working on drugs to fight a virus we work on creating a death penalty law to whoever works or funds gain of function?
Bird flu doesn't have to learn how to go from human to human. We have gain of function research labs working 24/7 trying to accomplish that. Redfield knows that but is twisting the truth like a pretzel.
Here in Canada the government shot hundreds of ostriches because of avian flu. The birds already had the flu and had recovered, which meant they had achieved natural immunity and could be extremely valuable in research for vaccines or antiviral medications. The government decided they were a threat and after months of legal battles, officers showed up to this family farm where the birds lived and just shot them in the middle of the night. This tells you everything you need to know about “science”.
