Lauren Spors, 29, is charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the October 2025 death of her mom, Carrie Zettl. Spors has a history of mental illness, drug use, and becoming violent. On October 12, 2025, Zettl called Milwaukee Police because someone was banging on her door in the middle of the night. Police found Spors under a tarp in her mom's yard.
