Flint Township police responding to a neighbor’s 911 call discovered two special needs boys, ages 4 and 5, allegedly left alone for days inside a filthy, hazardous home covered in trash and feces, with one child trying to eat spoiled raw meat out of hunger. Authorities arrested their mother, Krystal Farmer, accusing her of abandoning the children in conditions police say could have turned deadly.
