In its latest attack on press freedom, the Trump Justice Department used its criminal prosecution of journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort to try to subpoena information from their YouTube pages — including their subscribers. A federal magistrate judge rejected that attempt, writing pointedly: "There is no attempt made to explain why the compilation by the government of a comprehensive index of subscribers to 'The Don Lemon Show' is evidence that a crime was committed."
