Trump DESPERATE Lawsuit BLOWS UP in His FACE

Attorneys Brian Kabateck and Shant Karnikian cover Trump's defamation lawsuit against 19 individual members of the Pulitzer Prize Board, filed in deep-red Okeechobee County, Florida, over the board's decision to stand by 2018 awards given to the New York Times and Washington Post for their Russia interference reporting. Trump isn't suing the newspapers that did the reporting. He's suing the committee that said the reporting was good. The Pulitzer Board commissioned two independent reviews, both concluded no claims in the award-winning stories had been discredited, and the board upheld the prizes. Trump called that defamation. The case has survived multiple dismissal attempts, partly thanks to a favorable ruling from Florida appellate judge Jeffrey Kuntz, who was subsequently nominated by Trump for a lifetime federal appointment. Now the case is in discovery, and the Pulitzer Board is demanding Trump's tax returns dating to 2015, financial records, and full medical and psychological files to test his damages claims. That's the catch-22 Trump didn't anticipate: to prove he was harmed, he has to open his books. Brian and Shant note the Pulitzer Board hasn't been intimidated. Days before this episode, the 2026 Pulitzers went to the Chicago Tribune for covering Trump's militarized immigration sweep and to Reuters for documenting how Trump used government power to exact vengeance on his foes.
