Description

New York Times Chief Legal Correspondent Adam Liptak joins Mike Sacks from Court Accountability Action to discuss the ongoing "battle royale" between federal district court judges and the Supreme Court over President Trump's executive actions. Liptak, the Times's former Supreme Court correspondent, also talked about the Court's recent decision invalidating Trump's tariffs and what that says about Chief Justice Roberts's own agenda, and weighed in on the ongoing speculation over whether Justice Alito will retire this summer and who his potential successors may be. We can get Alito and Thomas for blatant corruption. We can also get Coney- Barrett and Kavanaugh for perjury on their confirmation hearings. I just wonder how we relieve ourselves of John Roberts incompetent and remedial activism?

Secret power struggle? Is there a struggle to get the biggest bribe? a struggle to skirt the most laws? the competition to delay legal decisions for the longest time?

“If Trump gets another chance” are words that strike terror in the heart. We need to fix the court as an institution. We don’t have 9 kings.

Roberts SCOTUS is unhinged and the history books will look unkindly upon his court.
