Trump DOJ two new INDICTMENTS after IMMIGRATION CRACKDOWN!!

Earlier this year, Operation Metro Surge sent thousands of federal immigration agents into the Twin Cities, resulting in more than 4,000 arrests and the fatal shootings of two U.S. citizens. The operation sparked protests, with residents warning neighbors of ICE activity. On June 16, 2026, federal prosecutors charged 15 people connected to those protests with conspiracy, assault on federal officers, and related offenses. The months-later indictment comes as Trump renewed rhetoric about fraud in Minnesota's Somali community. About a third of earlier Metro Surge cases have already been dismissed for lack of probable cause or conflicting evidence. The defendants have pleaded not guilty, and related civil rights lawsuits remain pending.
