I appreciate how Joel is so open to share his horror narration knowledge to a smaller narrator like me. Genuinely one of the greats of this community 👻 🙏
Someone gifted me a membership last night, but I fell asleep, so thanks so much whoever you are❤
I really appreciate this womans point of view on active duty. Much respect! My male best friend from 6th grade finally retired after 22 years of service. My bestie didn't even make it a full 3 years to enjoy his retirement. It was 1 year ago yesterday that Mike Kniest was killed in a bike wreck. I dont think I will ever get over the loss of such an amazing & selfless man. xo
First story had me laughing so hard when they said their supervisor looked like Mr bean
joel never disappoints.
The first story really helped me understand my boyfriend a lot better with that intro. He's 25 was an avionics technician in the navy. He's a 25 year old elderly man after 4 years 😭
i was in the USAF in the mid-'70s. avionic specialist. the men didn't give me a bad time because i snarked back when they tried. but, then, i wasn't 19. i was older and more seasoned. one sgt put his arm around me in the chow hall and i yelled, loudly, "get your gd hands off me!". yes, i had no problem making a scene and humiliating toxic men. went on a date and the guy drove into a lonely place and told me he was a serial killer and i said it was a good thing i was a black belt in karate,. no second date LOL. the only surprise on leaving was when i worked at a place where a lot of "challenged" people worked. it was kind of disorienting because i'd been around fully abled people when in the service. it didn't upset me, it was just odd for a little while. got along with everyone fine.
USAF MX officer here. Hearing the first story just got me angrier the more that I heard it. I’m sorry that you had such a POS leadership team. I have several friends who are commanders now and while I would like to say that this doesn’t happen anymore, I know that’s not true. If any airmen read this and hear this story, know that you have options other than your leadership triad when they are all against you like this. I wish you well (story writer) and remember, “If nonners tried we’d never fly!”
My boy has been in 4 years so far. It breaks my heart that these kids come back to us so broken. I do my best to make sure I'm available for him and present no matter the time night. It pisses me off that person thought taking their life was the best solution. We really do need to do better as a nation and how out military is treated.
I have a ton of creeper horror stories in the Air Force! This should be a theme 🥹
