The teamwork trap.

You just stumbled on my algorithm, & I was fixated on every word in this video. The transparency, the self-awareness, the honesty & realness, the humility & vulnerability. All in one human is soooo rare nowadays. Also, you had me at not wanting to work with lots of people. I literally just told someone that earlier today & now I’m wondering if Siri was in the background listening from my iPad. 😮😱 I’m in real estate & the woman I met was trying to get me to join her firm, even promoting “teams”, & I said no thanks, that’d be my worst nightmare, I don’t care how nice they all are. After 20+ years in corporate America, no one could pay me enough to go join a team.

Authenticity kept me watching through the whole video. "In my pajamas, drinking coffee." I am several steps behind you, but it's (roughly) the same path. I appreciate you lighting the way. And high-fives for fellow GenX-er.

I think it's obvious why you have a knack for marketing... you know how to speak, you're authentic and you're good at telling a story!

I am the same as you. I was so close to hiring a team, and something stopped me. I want to create. Not manage a team.

They say, don’t talk about yourself. Nobody cares. Wrong! Thank you for sharing your story with us. I learn best from stories and from the wisdom of others. I stayed for your entire video and I feel it was valuable to me. I feel inspired. I’m so like you! I’m over 50, divorced, a risk taker, driven, impatient, a coach but not a manager, and also best on my own. Thank you for validating the solopreneur choice. I’m still working a 9-5 while I build. It’s tough but content like yours keeps me going. ❤
