The statue has been described as “loud, rude and obnoxious.”
Poor pigeons will be called racists for shitting on it.
Why is this black lady ok but Aunt Jemima was NOT?
Everything good is now pretty much woke and of course turns to shit.
May not be the intention of the artist, but this statue could be perceived as representing everything that is wrong in society right now…
Margaret Thatcher: "Being powerful is a bit like being a lady. If you have to tell people you are, you arent."
Nothing is beautiful about a statue holding a cellphone. Everywhere we look people are glued to their phones. The “artist” has zero creativity.
Anytime somebody tells you it’s powerful it’s not.
As a white female, to me the statues are more of a put down. The women are on cell phones , is this what they should be known. The artist doesn't think to highly of black women. There is nothing positive about them.
I call it, “ Waiting on my check,”
