My daughter asked for marshmallows for breakfast. I said no. Only a terrible parent would say yes. Edit: dang, the amount of butthurt people in the comments is insane. Good food habits are crucial when you're raising children. FYI, I allow my kids to eat donuts no more than once a month, but on the daily the food choices have to be balanced. Meat is present at least two meals, and bread can't make up most of what they eat. Some of us actually care about health.
Truth be told, a lot of parents are lazy. It's so much easier to be a BAD parent than a good one.
Dr. Phil said it best..... overindulgance is child abuse. Period. Parenting is PREPARING YOUR CHILDREN TO BE ADULTS. You can be kind and firm. Loving and set boundaries.
Biggest problem is, these brats will be unleashed on the rest of us.
How sad to raise your child to be a self absorbed monster and then expect them to be a happy productive member of society.
Toddlers who are never told “NO” are a Kindergarten’s teacher’s nightmare.
Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he shall not depart from it"
This video felt like a pat on the shoulder for me. My kids always asked “Why is prayer always so short?” without realizing that short can still be spiritual bonding if done consistently. We prayed daily but lacked a shared family anchor for it. The bbook 1-Minute Family Devotions by Simonette Vincent anchored us without revealing what the book actually contains. The best part is it didn’t feel like a promotion, just parenting support.
That little boy in the first video is being setup for absolute failure in life. No structure, no boundaries, no rules..... he's going to be in prison because he will have no understanding of what rules and laws are and why they need to be obeyed. People need to realize they are raising their children to become adults. They are not a pet, they are not an actor for your tiktok or youtube videos, they are a human being that is your responsibility.
“If you raise your children so that other people can stand them, you’ve done a good job”-my grandpa
