Interesting fact about It's A Wonderful Life. James Stewart made this film shortly after WWII. He was suffering from PTSD from his service in the war, and was severely depressed and suicidal in real life. For the rest of his life, he credited It's A Wonderful Life for literally saving his own life. It brought him out of his depression and restored his faith. ❤
It's almost as if the people running Hollywood despise Christmas and its original meaning...
I would have been devastated had Matt not picked "It's A Wonderful Life" as the number one Christmas movie.
The Bishop's Wife with Cary Grant is one of our favorites. Great acting and such a warm Christmas spirit.
Just watched "It's a wonderful life", hands down the best Christmas movie of all time...
Klaus is a hidden gem of a Christmas movie that is surrounded by turds. It definitely captures the Christmas spirit that no other modern movies can
Miracle on 34th St.… where Natalie Wood plays the little girl… And of course Alastair Sims in a Christmas Carol. Unforgivable to miss those two.
I’ve never watched It’s a Wonderful Life in all of my 58 years. Until this year, after seeing Matt Walsh’s description. I have to say, it was magnificent. I will watch that movie all year and every year from now on.
My kids are tiny and they watched wonderful life and LOVED IT. My 6 year old noticed Jimmy Stewart actually shaking when he's praying. He was scared for him! He asked "were things REAL in these old movies??" My 2 year old daughter didn't even move the entire time. She was enthralled and there's no way she understood it.
“ It’s A Wonderful Life”……every time a bell rings an Angel gets it’s wings. My Husband loved that movie. I don’t watch it anymore….without him. It’s just not the same. Matt, hopefully you both will watch it together for many, many years to come, especially with your grandchildren. Much love ❤.
