The Quality Of Literally Everything Is Declining. I’m Investigating To Find Out Why | Ep. 1702
Investigating the Universal Decline of Quality: From Google Search to Housing and Marital Arguments
Discover the empirical evidence proving that the quality of nearly every product and service—from search engines to housing—is measurably declining. Learn why this systemic decay is happening and how it contrasts with emotional arguments surrounding immigration data.
Short Summary
- Quality tracking confirms that modern life involves dealing with demonstrably worse products (search, housing, air travel) than existed decades ago.
- Deep analysis of publicly shared economic data regarding Somali immigrant contributions reveals substantial negative fiscal results when fraud and low income are factored in.
- Refuse the false ideal: Constructive argument is essential for a healthy marriage, while intentionally trying to hurt your spouse constitutes a destructive fight.
This episode moves beyond simple complaining to investigate the broad, systemic slide in standards affecting technology, infrastructure, consumer goods, and daily services. The host presents concrete data points—like reduced legroom or lower tax contributions—to validate the common feeling that "everything sucks now." Furthermore, the show dissects media attempts to defend recent immigration policies using economic figures, revealing inconsistencies through simple arithmetic. Finally, the host defends the necessity of healthy conflict in relationships, distinguishing productive arguments from harmful fights.

50 year mortgage for a house that won't last 30?
Clothing is crap now, and most fabric stores are gone now so you can't even sew your own. This is what happens when all manufacturing is sent overseas. Good job, politicians.
The saying that "they don't make 'em like they used to" has never been more accurate. The next generation is in serious trouble.
"It's all by design." Exactly right.
The food tastes like sawdust and bug spray these days.
Planned Obsolescence comes to mind.
I work in healthcare administration. You can add this field to the list of decreased quality! It's atrocious how inefficient healthcare insurances have become.
Quality is expensive. Cheap is greedy.
