CBS Host Says Bari Weiss Wants to "Murder" 60 Minutes

60 Minutes needs to become Zero Minutes.

Don't buy your argument, Megyn. It's like saying you need institutional educational experience and a degree in education to be a good teacher. The proverbial having a new pair of eyes to assess situations often means significantly different backgrounds, too. Second point, the MSM does not produce (overall, or consistently) credible product...has not for well over 60 years since JFK. So just what successful "content production" vs processes are you pointing to that it so vital.

CBS. Bernie Goldberg saw it and wrote about it over thirty years ago. “The Dan” was the beginning of the end.

Far be it for me to defend Bari Weiss, but CBS "news" murdered itself. Rank partisanship killed 60 Minutes, and it deserves the Steven Colbert treatment.

Weiss built her reputation outside the traditional network-news culture—at organizations including The Free Press and previously The New York Times. Many of her supporters view her as someone willing to challenge ideological conformity inside legacy media. Critics see her as a politically controversial figure whose leadership threatens established newsroom norms. The Kelly/Jashinsky thesis is essentially that a newsroom filled with journalists who spent decades at CBS was never likely to accept an outsider associated with media criticism and institutional reform. Whether that assessment is correct is a matter of opinion, but the intensity of the backlash has been remarkable.

Scott's a propagandist so there's that.

I have no inside information or knowledge of CBS but Scott Pelley is an insufferable, pompous ass. His style is off putting and his arrogance is simply obnoxious.

60 Min needed a makeover. It's all TDS angles, plus most of the staff are older than dirt. Where are the younger up and coming journalists? Pelley should have retired a decade ago, he's a joke. C'mon Megyn, you're better than this.

This seems like some kind of weird catfight.
