Susan Collins has been very concerned and disappointed for most of her nearly 30 years in the Senate. What she hasn’t been terribly concerned about is re-election. This year is different as rising discontent with the lack of fairness in our economy, naked corruption in the Trump Administration, and challenges faced by everyday Americans go unaddressed. Jordan Wood has stepped up early with a grassroots driven campaign that’s already garnered over 40,000 individual donations from every corner of the state. Wood was born and raised in Lewiston, Maine where his dad was a pastor and mom a teacher. Jordan earned his degree from Calvin College and moved to Washington, D.C. to begin a career taking on the establishment and battling corruption. Most recently, co-founded and led democracyFIRST, a bipartisan pro-democracy organization dedicated to combating growing threats to the free and fair administration and certification of our elections. He had previously served as Vice President of End Citizens United (ECU)–an organization dedicated to getting big money out of politics by taking on leaders in both parties to refuse corporate PAC contributions. Jordan also served as Chief of Staff to Congresswoman Katie Porter where he supported her work taking on powerful Wall Street banks and financial interests.
