I'm Australian, and my family of six, plus 3 other families (18 in all), cancelled our booked six week trip to the US, (booked for July last year), after the 2024 election, and, due to all the rhetoric and threats towards our canadian cousins, we chose to book a trip to Canada in March this year instead, to visit Vancouver, Toronto and Ontario. My first trip to Canada and I was SO excited! Everyone was so nice, so friendly and open, and it felt like we bonded with every person we met! We aussies were very warmly welcomed - like we were visiting family, and the feeling was absolutely mutual! Every adult agreed we made the right choice, whether morally, financially, and for our safety, and all the kids keep asking when we can go back to Canada! Canada is a stunningly beautiful, gloriously proud and immensely nice nation, and I'd recommend anyone wanting to travel, to definitely choose Canada as a destination!
