I don’t feel badly for the mom going back to her job…I left my performing career to raise our son. I shopped at thrift stores (still do!!), cooked every day from scratch (still do!!), no date nights, no vacations etc…we had nothing but we did it!! I wouldn’t take back one minute of raising my beautiful boy for any amount of money.
I stay home with my sweet toddler. We go to the park nearly every day and she “helps” me with household chores. I love cooking for my family and preparing my husband’s lunches each day. We are 23 and we’ve lived off of his income since we were 20 and he was still in college. God has always provided for us. We obeyed His voice to get married and for me to stay home and every need has been taken care of.
Did not expect to hear Micheal Knowles say “let him cook”
I feel compassion for the woman who is so devastated to go back to work and be separated from her babies but as you say, Michael, there is a simple solution. I went back to my full time job with my first and it was terrible for a couple years. When I got pregnant with my second, my husband and I took steps to majorly downsize enough to live on ONE income. Of course, it took many sacrifices and adjusting to a much more frugal way of living but it’s certainly possible. Been SAHM now with my 3 kids for almost a decade and am so grateful for it. When my youngest starts school in a year then I will get back into the work force once again. I don’t have any regrets about leaving it for a decade either. It was totally worth it 😊
When can we expect the Knowles v. Shapiro debate on tariffs?
I cried at the end of my maternity leave too. I wasn’t going back to work, but I still cried at the *thought* of going back to work to pay someone else to take care of my baby, over staying home with my own baby. There is choice. We made the choice to live on less, prioritizing mama being home with her own baby. This is best, first choice, over any other arranged situation, be it grandma, nanny, or daycare. Yes to the Hungary tax policy. No income tax. Children are a benefit to society.
The way I explained the blanket tariff to my wife was: “when you fix a bicycle tire, submerge the inner-tube under water and see where the bubbles are generated.”
Michael, if you're worried about being set on fire, you should wear a 100% wool suit. Wool is self-extinguishing and won't melt onto your skin like polyester will. A silk shirt will also be slower to ignite than cotton. Be safe and luxurious! Also, make sure the lining of the suit is a natural fiber. No polyester!
Hello everybody I love Michael Knowles shalom from Chicago
That is the best James Carville impression I've ever heard. That is authentic political gibberish. You have a gift my friend.
