Marriage is a covenant not a bargain
I agree. We need to be concerned about failing cities. We fought a war to keep this nation as one nation under God. As worship/ followers of God, we should love thy neighbor and be our brother's keeper.
When I was a little kid in grammar school, in the 60s, we were taught lessons about our national history that had to do with love of our country. We sang two patriotic songs each morning after the Pledge. These days, teachers teach hate of our country, and this is the wellspring of crime and disorder in the country.
I finally agree with you! I am going to go play the lottery.....I will probably win! Lol. I love that you said that the United States should not be separate countries; but, should truly be United. We are too divided. My family is from Baltimore, MD. My parents moved us to PA in the 70's. Baltimore has wonderful music/arts scene, world- renowned medical care- (John's Hopkins), and beautiful people of every race/ persuasion. The harbor area is historic and beautiful. We say, "hon and honey" a little too often. We are nicknamed "charm city". When we moved to PA, we were not really accepted. My father and mother were a little too loud, wore bright colors, and were open-minded, Catholic, and opinionated. It would be wonderful if decent people could live safely in our cities.
