I dont think I could trade the child I actually physically raised for a year. But I would also want my actual child. There’s really no good answer.
My husband and I struggled to conceive, but had decided during our journey we would not do IVF and placed it in God’s hands. We were blessed enough to have our daughter but would have accepted it if we didn’t.
That must have been so traumatic for the big sister😢
I have an 11 month old baby girl. She would absolutely know if I sent her to permanently live with a different set of parents. She knows who her mother is, my face, my voice. She knows who her father is, his face, his voice. It would be detrimental to her to be suddenly ripped away from us.
As a married couple who have been unable to conceive a child for 16 years, we *still* approve this message, heartbroken but wholeheartedly.
I lost 3 babies over 17 years.......No one would have blamed me if we had decided to do IVF........After a short separation from my husband, I returned to believing we may never have children. A few months after returning, I got pregnant. I had handed my desire to be a mother completely over to God. After having our beautiful son, I got pregnant again just 15 months later......with Twins. I have 3 sons. YHVH (God) is faithful 🙌 and HIS timing is perfect.
I'm a 34 year-old man with no emotions, I should not have a tear in my eye right now.
How do carry a child and then just switch them with a another child you have never met?
Speaking how you truly feel about a controversial topic despite knowing that some subscribers here would disagree is real courage. Thank you.
"The only person who can claim reproductive rights is the child claiming rights to his or her parent's (...). No one has the right to a child. Children are not commodities, children are not accessories, children do not exist to fulfill our desires." -Michael Knowles
