Knowles MANSPLAINS To 3 Women Why Christians Should Celebrate Halloween
Debate on Christian Participation in Halloween: Tradition vs. Spiritual Caution
Determine the core arguments for and against Christians celebrating Halloween, weighing historical Christian roots against concerns regarding alignment with occult practices.
Short Summary
- Opposition centers on the perceived demonic nature of modern Halloween, citing testimony from those formerly involved in the occult.
- Proponents argue for reclaiming the holiday, emphasizing its origins as All Hallow's Eve, the vigil before All Saints Day.
- The discussion explores scriptural mandates for separation ("Come out from among them") versus arguments against conceding cultural space to darkness.
- This panel analyzes whether traditional celebrations (like saint costumes) are acceptable alternatives to completely opting out.
The panel convenes to resolve the contention among various Christian groups regarding Halloween observance. It focuses intensely on the spiritual implications (kingdom issues) rather than just denominational history, contrasting views from traditional Catholics and dissenting Protestants accessing deliverance ministries.

Not everyone who claims to be Christian is one
I live in a very Catholic archdiocese, and Catholics here are divided about Halloween. So, it's not a Protestant/Catholic division.
16:41 right there. That is how a strong espirit sounds like. Totally agree with her
A Haitian coworker told me Halloween is a big Voodoo holiday there, but not as much with anybody else. She was surprise when she moved to the US and it was an everybody holiday
The way Natalia was talking, she definitely sounds like she holds some dominion theology. Everything we do needs to boil down to “does this please Christ?” I think people use the ‘personal conviction’ argument for too many things and they become lukewarm trying to get as close to the red line as possible.
Had an All Hallow’s Eve party last night! Kids and Adults all dressed as Saints!!
I’m Catholic and grew up with very holy Mom who loved Halloween and decorated like crazy. I used to love it. But…I live in a VERY progressive area and what’s struck me in the last few years is how muted and shameful everyone is about Christmas (and criticizing of nativity scenes) around me and these same people have taken the dark Halloween decorating to a new level and it’s bigger here than Christmas. it’s turned me off on Halloween. Now I just decorate for fall w pumpkins, gourds. Corn stalks. No more goblins
Maybe in America the kids dress up as everything else these days, but here in England there's still a propensity towards dressing as witches and devils. It doesn't sit right with me at all, as open minded as I try to be.
Always love to see Mary Morgan!
