2024's W2 was a wake up call. Grossed 80k and still am broke, living paycheck to paycheck with no investments and savings. 2025 will be very different
We are a family of 3 earning low six figures and we're not broke. People don't know how to budget. They're spending their money on crap.
financial literacy and management is more important than having the money.
I live in SoCal and we gross $180k in our household and we live on about 30% of our income. People are just being fools with their money.
This was me when I lived in a city and spent money carelessly believing paying off my credit cards monthly and maxing out my 401k was enough... Now I make the same money (remotely) but live in a low cost area don't party and save half my salary
When I hear money complaints from friends, coworkers, or whoever who say it’s not their fault they weren’t taught to handle money, I respond with this: “It may not be your fault. But it is your problem. So you’ve got to be the one to fix it.” Life’s not always fair. But when you take control of the controllables (your actions and how you respond), you become less helpless in your own life and can start working towards making the life you want.
Oh gawd! Gotta appreciate him getting STRAIGHT to the point!!!! Ouch😵💫😵💫
This should surprise NO ONE. If you don't know how to handle money you can be making millions and still live paycheck to paycheck. Building wealth is a skill, getting paid is just a function of having a job.
