Funny how house prices don't go down when cost of materials go down but the house price goes up when materials go up.
Remember, buying a house, even to make memories it still needs to be affordable. Which most homes are not currently affordable for the average American.
Can we just admit that no one cares if anyone has housing? All that is important now is investors have year over year profits. I'm in Canada and I'm sure I will never be able to own a home though I work. Legit, a societal contract has been broken to keep investors in riches. Sorry, yeah I'm bitter :( What happened to my Canada?
Thank god it’s hurting home builders. With The slop they have been building and selling for outrageous prices have gone way too far. “Newly built” they say, but ones you do an inspection, you’ll see so how it’s already falling apart. Even a landlord special is better built than most of these houses built brand new. 😒
Housing demand won't go up until interest rates lower. Even if house prices were lowered, it doesn't make a true dent in the buyers mortgage rate and payment.

Last few years Lamber crashed , no builders decreased prices during 2023 to 2024
Home prices is already up by 100 percent
I have noticed older commercial property vacant as many businesses want to move to newer areas with cheaper square footage properties
Thanks for helping us reframe our perspective. Many of us out here are love sick over the hope of owning a house and we ignore the fact that it can’t make us wealthy.
