Samsung Galaxy Z Tri Fold Impressions: NOW It Makes Sense!
Hands-On First Impressions of the Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold
This first impression suggests the three-panel folding smartphone finally makes the concept of foldables truly sensible, primarily due to its expansive 10-inch rectangular display format.
Short Summary
- The Z Trifold unfolds into a massive 10-inch tablet, offering radically better aspect ratios for video and apps than current foldables.
- Physically, the device is thick and heavy when closed (over 300g, 12.9mm), but feels thin when fully opened (under 4.2mm).
- High durability concerns exist for the middle, twice-folding screen, and the price point is estimated between $2,500 and $3,000.
This review covers the specifications, design characteristics, practical advantages of the larger screen format, and the inherent drawbacks of this first-generation, triple-folding mobile device. Understanding the context of its size versus standard 10-inch tablets reveals surprising benefits.

This is what a foldable is supposed to be, a literal tablet in your pocket!
Case manufacturers about to hire a whole design team
This literally looks like one of those concept future phones they used to show back in 2016 list videos of top 10s
I can finally see tiktoks reels and shorts at the same time
My wallet folded harder when I saw the price.
Marques not getting the hot new phone first is a recession indicator
Excited to buy this refurbished in 4 years
4:45 WTH! "With a charger included in the box!". This is definitely the most shocking plot twist for this video. No doubt. 😂😂
I'm a DevOps Engineer and my first foldable, the Pixel 10 Pro, was a game changer for work. After hours releases or quick debugging no longer required me to get off the couch and go back up to my office. I can read logs, make very minor merge request edits, and poke around AWS from my phone. I can't imagine how awesome this would be. I can see a future where AR goggles plus a foldable and you can do 90% of your job, using the phone as a kayboard
Discontinued after 3 months is crazy work
