"Wow, that's an interesting story. It reminded me of how awesome I am." - Shaan
Sam and Shaan make a brilliant point about the lifestyle aspect, but in the blue-collar world, it usually works in reverse. Guys start a trades business wanting freedom, but they end up accidentally building a lifestyle of 80-hour weeks, ringing phones, and putting out job site fires. Then they get trapped in the 'game of more'—buying more trucks, taking on more jobs, and chasing more revenue—thinking it will eventually buy their way out. To completely reinvent yourself in this industry, you have to stop being the 'hero' who jumps in the truck to save every job, and actually start doing the unsexy work of organizing the backend.
THAT"S THE POD!!
As soon as you started to describe Ballerina Farms, I KNEW it was going to be an Utah thing. Midway rules, btw. Such a storybook town. There are lots of natural hot springs in and around Midway, some of which are a perfect temp for winter hot tubbing.
I tell you I love you every day, but today, I think you may have changed the trajectory of my life. Love you guys!
For some reason, people forget that when a question is asked that the answer “I don’t know“ is a very valid answer. Too often people feel compelled to answer they come up with BS and that is a waste of time. If you don’t know just say it, say I don’t know.
Uncle Shaan always be dropping wisdom... freedom from vs freedom to was golden
Loved seans take on slaying the money monster and choosing the right quest. So true.
