I think Josh is onto something, when you haven't tasted/eaten something that first bite has a stronger feel. It's like the first sip of a cold beer is alway better than the following ones.
For me, I like my bacon slightly burnt and so crispy, it shatters like glass.
Josh is absolutely right about which one will taste better, from the standpoint that you haven't tasted the sauce previous to sitting down and eating the whole meal. The flavor experience is more fresh when somebody else prepares it compared to when you prepare it, because you've tasted it periodically during the preparation. Essentially, you tasted it deconstructed during the preparation. Compared to tasting it all together as a meal when somebody else is prepared it.
I honestly hoped this was a myth munchers. Thin cut vs thick cut, pan fried vs oven baked, cook time, etc
Yes. Food tastes better when other people cook it.
Completely understand that food tastes better when someone else does it, but I also see what Nicole is saying because I’m very particular about how certain foods are prepared and my bf doesn’t do the same. That being said, if I had a home cooked meal from a family member that I as well make normally, it always tastes different no matter how many times I make it the same way. I’m with him 100% on smelling it and tasting it as you go can dull the excitement of the food in the end. Also it’s always nice getting what you want without having to do the work lol
Today I learned that Nicole is impervious to metaphor. Today I learned that Josh just might go mad from it.
I always save my bacon grease for other recipes.
