Colman is the first person I've seen who answered the "what happens after you die" question by talking about those who survive him. No care about an afterlife or anything like that but instead focusing on the people he would leave behind. I love that
The thoughtfulness and presence of this man is ASTOUNDING. I could listen to him for days and this conversation flowed so well. Great interview Josh!
I love that, if anything, Last Meals has evolved into a far deeper exploration of humanity and emotion over the years, rather than devolving into a circus sideshow like other interview shows. I think the menu being personal to each guest helps keep it grounded and fresh, but you can't overlook the work Josh and the crew do to deliver every time and keep it a force for positivity.
I love that he called the interview an “opportunity” because few people would think of it that way!
I can’t really put into words what the team at Mythical have managed to create with this format. Lately, I leave every episode having shed more than a couple tears. You’ve gone beyond the traditional 'interview' format; you’re having deep, trascendental conversations about life, love, death, and food with, not celebrities, but people. The beautiful realization I have at the end of each video is how similar we all are as humans. At the end, we all yearn for the same thing: to love and to be loved. It’s really moving to hear how everyone's path takes them to have similar findings. Please keep on, this is the type of 'content' the world needs more of. ❤
I was really stressed because I have a job interview this afternoon, and this man's energy and philosophy calmed me down.
Last Meals is the polar opposite of Hot Ones yet both are the top 2 interview shows on the planet.
Josh you are just getting better and better at interviewing, with the pacing and cadence and sensitivity, the researchers are doing incredible, and of course Colman Domingo was an incredible guest to have on. The whole team is exceptional and getting better and better with time. I hope you're all really proud of yourselves with this gem of a series. People will look back at it one day, be inspired by it, and be influenced by its depth, humour, generosity and compassion in a great way.
That look Colman gives Josh at 3:25 as he's hearing the level of work the team put in for him is so great and shows the level of appreciation he has for those around him.
I legitimately fall more and more in love with this man, the more I hear his heart. He feels like such a good human.
