I’m a Cuban American democrat from Miami, and I’m deeply disappointed by your comments. The Cuban regime does not allow free elections or minimum rights for the people. Mr. Cossio or Diaz Canel were not voted by the people, they were appointed by the communist party that has abused the country for 67 years. You have no idea of what you are saying… you have no idea what the people in Cuba are going through. You are giving air time to freedom oppressor who has only lied about everything. Shameful 😢and sad!!

So let’s be clear—bringing a figure like this onto a prime-time Sunday political show and asking soft questions isn’t journalism. It’s an insult to the Cuban people. - There is no sovereignty under a dictatorship. - “Preparation” comes from mandatory military service for 18-year-olds—forced. - None of these officials were elected by the people. And the collapse? It didn’t start now. - 2016–2018: hospitals already reporting deaths tied to outages and lack of resources - 2019–2024: growing nationwide blackouts and system failures - 2021: economic reform → inflation and loss of purchasing power - 2021–2024: mass migration + historic protests (July 11, 2021) - Ongoing: shortages of food and medication This is the reality: people without food, without medicine… while others sit in air conditioning repeating propaganda. Allowing this narrative on national TV, without challenge, is shameful. Shame on you.
