Who sees a villain in a wheelchair and takes away from that that all people in wheelchairs are evil?
I’m disabled and would like to know why we can’t be evil characters? Are we so emotionally needy that we must be handled with kid gloves? It’s rotten and patronizing. I’ve never seen the show but the fans of traditional Dr Who have my sympathy. Thanks for the video!
Deep down, the writers don't view disabled people as equals. They view them as people who need their help.
As a kid, it never, ever occurred to me that Davros was “in a wheelchair”. He was clearly a sci-fi creature, that’s all.
I never considered Davros as being in a wheelchair, he was a fusion of humanoid and Darlek.. Grownups can see this and not immediately think it means that people in wheelchairs are evil.
So the show's lowest-ever ratings caused enough panic to bring back the people responsible for the show's highest-ever ratings, but nobody paused to think that they might need to change the writing which caused the lowest-ever ratings. Unbelievable. It boggles the mind.
RIP to all the murdered franchises. I hope one day we will remember you in your prime.
It's hard to believe that we've reached an era where the fans have more class, and reverance for the show, and storytelling in general than the fumbling idiots who make the show.
I found it comical that they had a character lecturing the "male presenting" Doctor about not being able to give away power. Yah, remember when the Doctor literally had the whole cosmos in the palm of his hand when he possessed the Key to Time? Literally unlimitted power...and he threw it away without a second thought.
It's insane how in the trailers, it kept emphasizing the line "if donna remembers me, SHE WILL DIE." The audacity to hammer this idea into our minds, leading us to believe it will have any sort of relevance to the plot, then just erasing that story is absolutely moronic
