Heights Hotline: Do Pet Moms REALLY Count On Mother's Day?

They make Mother’s Day cards that are from your pets. My mom has gotten them for me in past years. And for things like Valentine’s Day as well. I’ve had a dog that’s had heart problems, and other issues to the point where I’ve had to give her mouth to mouth on occasion. I’ve had to comfort my dogs while they’re vomiting. I have to, of course pick up their messes. Yes, I 100% agree that it’s not like taking care of a human but there’s still care involved.

I am a single and childless by choice, I also have five dogs that depend on me for everything. I love them desperately but I HATE when people tell me happy mother's day. I am not a mom, I am a dog mama, and to me there is a huge difference. That being said, life is short, the world sucks, celebrate all you want to your hearts content and who cares what other people think. Hang your own banner. Celebrate the precious being you are.

Celebrate those that nurture and care for others! That's what the big picture is.

Not being able to have children and nurturing many animals and dpending thousands of dollars at Keystone Vet Hospital for my animals when most people said 'its a cat/dog, you can get another one" I love when my hubby says happy mother's day. I also say happy fathers day to him from our pets, as his actual son died from bee stings. 😢

I totally agree Mother’s Day I should actually be for fur mamas. I think my dog should make me a card and bring me breakfast in bed. My skin children keep trying to take over and sign the card for her and carry the tray and I have to tell them to step aside. She now owes me about 12 cards and breakfasts but I think this is the year she really steps up.
