A Poly doesn't clear anyone. People pass and fail them all the time who shouldn't have. Good Law Enforcement uses them as a tool, only. They are not used to rule-out or exclude.

Never use a polygraph to clear someone. Why not relibiable in court. Many people can beat a poly. Or take one as nd pass and later takes another and fail. Get that sheriff off this case. He's really f ing it up.

One thing I don't hear them mention is that the first thing we used to do in murder investigations is have the drug unit go out and harass all the gangs and doers to get leads. They'll give you info just to get you off their case. That could account for some of the warrants they served that didn't seem to have direct connection to the case.
