This wasn't just black citizens. They irradiated potato fields in Idaho also. Guess what the potatoes were dispersed nationwide. In Tennessee a whole town (these people were white) was sprayed.

My father was a Chemistry Prof ( who also spent WW2 time on the Manhattan Project in Oakridge). We lived in the Cleveland OH area in the 60's. I remember when the trucks came around to spray for mosquitoes, Dad had the windows remain closed, and there was no way we were allowed outside to play when the trucks came around to spray. There were no warnings about this stuff being unsafe to the general public, and I'm glad that my Dad kept us indoors.
