Her saying her parents are mean isn't anything out of the ordinary, most teens say things like this. My 11 year old has said this when I have disciplined him. Then later on he comes hugs me and tells me he loves me. So this can't be taken out of context. If you are a parent you know this. This is tragic for sure.

For those of you saying her parents were just being parents and were strict because they were trying to protect her… I’m just wondering what makes y’all think that!? Because strict parents don’t allow their 12 year old child to go on dates alone, period!!

Wonder if they just tried to parent her and she didn't like boundaries and what they were trying to do for and with her? Or if D was telling her how they were in the way of them being together. Seems she told them she "was going to the movies" the one time she disappeared (or ran away). Kids will tell their friends things l, but sometimes the home life isn't what they make it to be. We all thought our parents sucked when they disciplined us. Just so many moving pieces and unknowns with this story. Thanks for following this, Ashleigh. 🙏🏻❤ Heartbreaking for this young girl. So sad. Hope Justice is served. Thank you too, Charles, for continuing to cover this, and for speaking to just what seemed first person accounts and offering respect for the family. Such a tragic thing to happen to Celeste. 😢 May they get to the bottom of this.

Seriously they need to start learning how to find out who is doing the swatting calls. Everytime they get away with it

I think we need more information about the parents before we label them….my 13 year old thought I was mean when I wouldn’t let him do whatever he wanted to do.

What you mean, you shut the door on the police and the police doesn’t go inside the house to investigate what’s going on ?????🤷🏻‍♀️
