Discover why Buenos Aires offers surprising European efficiency and quick citizenship paths, but learn about the hidden costs and logistical drawbacks for international travelers.

Short Summary

  • Experience instant efficiency in immigration and services, contrasting sharply with São Paulo.
  • Appreciate a unique, throwback Roaring Twenties aesthetic in the city center, complemented by high-quality food.
  • Leverage a path to Argentine citizenship potentially achievable in as little as two years of residency.

This review assesses the modern reality of Buenos Aires, balancing its historical charm and open immigration against high current pricing and geographic distance.

Not only does Buenos Aires have amazing architecture and nice cafes and restaurants, but it also has beautiful parks to enjoy which you don't often find in big cities.

I'm a Swiss born guy happily living in Argentina since 1984, Buenos Aires first and Mar del Plata now. Can't be anywhere else, as soon as I travel abroad, I can't wait to be back to beloved Argentina. What a country! Richard.

We loved Mendoza. Very Italian. Tree-lined streets, cafes, great wine and food. Would be a great place to live.
