"I don't blame corporations, I blame the government." Haven't you heard, Andrew? Corporations *are* the government. And therein lies the problem.
the American dream today is to leave America
I am so bored. Taught globally English from 2008 to now. In 2023 built a house on the beach, Vietnam, nha trang. Built, paid in saved cash. No property taxes, trash and street cleaners daily, no tipping in Vietnam. Over 100k saved. Life is to easy. If you struggle, look nationally or internationally for resources and opportunities.
Having lived in a South American country for the last couple of years has shown me just how unhappy Americans really are. Road rage, social media insults, distrust of each other, theft, indifference all show this.
American-born Chinese here, left after graduation best decision of my life. The US is only remotely comfortable for the upper 10%, everyone else is plucked......
There is an abundance of intelligent people who are now living in cars, tents, hotels, rooms, hostels, etc. fully willing, capable, knowledgeable, skilled, gifted, that desire to go where they shall live their best life. An incredible stance, Andrew. May others follow your lead.
I have lived in the US for 20 Years. Never felt so broke.
“It’s called the American Dream because you’ve got to be asleep to believe it.” - George Carlin
My Son lost his job last year in November and took 8 months for him to find another job 😢American dream is a nightmare, A lot of People are struggling in this Country.
I left in 2016, my friends asked why......now they understand.
