My dad was killed by a reckless driver this January. Completely not at fault, multiple witnesses, meth in the dudes system and two cctv cameras that caught it. Dude is out on bail and allowed to live alone. Australian justice system is a joke
Aussie here, survived an assault at work from two blokes that nearly resulted in my death. They tried cutting my throat open, got the whole thing from beginning to end on bodycam "I'm mall security" and footage from the cctv in the centre. NSW Police got them shortly after, both of them are now walking the streets while we are waiting for a court date... It was over a year ago... Something is deeply wrong with the Australian legal system, they treat violent thugs like the victims and the rest of us are just expected to deal with it...
